Talk about saving the best for last, eh?
After studying and ranking the first six position groups among the 2020 prospects, we have finally arrived at the last one: the wide receivers and tight ends. And oh boy, was this an incredible group to watch on film.
Count me among the many who believe that this 2020 WR class has a great shot at being the best one in NFL history. It has elite prospects at the top (Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb), but the depth of this class is its real strength. Of all the position groups I watched and ranked for my draft preparations, the wide receivers were by far the most difficult to rank. There are so many solid players and so much to like about them, it made sorting through them feel like a futile task. IT SUCKED.
In fact, I had such a hard time with these receivers that when it came time to rank the tight ends, I cried uncle and asked Chandler to bounce back in and help me out. Lucky for me, he’s a good sport. Chandler took a look at the 2020 tight ends and sorted through them for you, both in his rankings below and on our YouTube episode.
Below are my WR rankings and Chandler’s TE rankings, as well as the links to the YouTube video and our podcast. This episode was by far the most difficult to deal with from a rankings perspective, but I think that helped to make it the most fun and intriguing one as well. Since we expect quite a few of these fellas to be selected in the first round of the upcoming draft, you may want to start with this episode.
