Week 10 went very well for Chandler, as he cruised to another 2-1 week. I, on the other hand, needed that Hail Murray just to get to 1-2. Yikes. Time to turn it around in week 11.
As always, check out this week’s YouTube show for our deep-dive analysis into this week’s selections. This is basically just a summary of plays for week 11 and a quick recap of week 10.
WEEK 10 RECAP:
John’s Plays (1-2): 1. DEN at LVR over 50.5 (-110): LOSE – 49 POINTS SCORED (LVR 37-DEN 12)
2. BUF at ARZ over 56.5 (-110): WIN – 62 POINTS SCORED (ARZ 32-BUF 30)
3. TWO-TEAM TEASER (+6, -120): LOSE
-TB -pick- at CAR: WIN (TB 46-CAR 23)
-BAL -1 at NE: WIN (NE 23-BAL 17)
Chandler’s Plays (2-1): 1. BUF +2.5 (-105) at ARZ: WIN – ARZ 32-BUF 30
2. PHI at NYG OVER 44.5 (-110): LOSE – 44 POINTS SCORED (NYG 27-PHI 17)
3. TWO-TEAM TEASER (+6, -120): WIN
-SEA +8 at LAR: WIN (LAR 23-SEA 16)
-CHI +9 vs MIN: WIN (MIN 19-CHI 13)
I have included a teaser bet explanation at the end of this article, just in case you’re not familiar with that type of bet.
2020 OVERALL RECORD:
John: 16-14 (53%)
Chandler: 17-12-1 (58%)
Combined: 33-26-1 (56%)
John’s Week 11 Plays: 1. ATL +4 (-110) at NO (*see note below)
2. MIA -3.5 (-110) at DEN
3. TWO-TEAM TEASER (+6, -120)
-KC -2 at LVR
-TEN +11 at BAL Chandler’s Week 11 Plays:
1. GB +2.5 (-110) at IND
2. KC -8 (-110) at LVR
3. CLE 1st HALF -1.5 (-120) vs PHI (**see note below)
* note – My analysis for this game on the show centered around Jameis Winston starting at QB for New Orleans. After we recorded the episode it was announced that Taysom Hill would start at QB. However, that doesn’t change my play at all. In fact, I like it even more with Hill at QB.
**note – Chandler made this selection before it was announced that Myles Garrett was put on the COVID-19 list and would not play against the Eagles this Sunday. The overall line of CLE -3 dropped almost immediately to CLE -2.5 due to Garrett’s absence. Few non-QBs will ever move a betting line even a half of a point. Obviously, Garrett is a special player and is having a career year, so his absence is massive. Therefore, tread carefully with this play knowing that Garrett is out.
Good luck to you all this weekend!! Let’s cash some tickets together!!
(TEASER BET EXPLANATION: In case you’re not familiar with a teaser, it’s a bet in which you get six points to manipulate the point spread and/or game total in a favorable direction. For example, in John’s teaser bet in week one this year, he bet the Colts and the Rams. Bet by themselves, the Colts were -8 at Jacksonville and the Rams were +3 at home against the Cowboys. However, in a teaser you get to add six points to the side of each bet you selected. Therefore, John moved the Colts down from -8 to -2, and the Rams up from +3 to +9. Teasers are great ways to manipulate lines so that they’re more favorable to you. Last, just like a parlay, teasers must include two bets or more, and you must win all the legs in the teaser to win the bet. If you lose one leg of the teaser your whole bet is busted.)
