By John Kaufman & Chandler Adams NFL Betting & DFS Analysts @ClevelandSpyder & @ChandlerAdamss

First of all, our apologies for our being MIA these past two weeks. Prior to week five in the NFL, Chandler was out of town visiting family, and I had back surgery and was recuperating from that. We did not get to record our Best Bets show, but we did post our week five plays on Twitter just to get them on the record.

Additionally, and annoyingly, we did attempt to get back at it this week. We recorded our Week Six Best Bets show this past Thursday evening (October 15), but Skype was being, shall we say, less than cooperative. That’s about as magnanimously as I can put it. A more apt description would be that Skype is a huge pain in the ass and just flat-out sucks sometimes. If we manage to get the recording issues straightened out we will definitely get the week six show uploaded for you. If not, consider this piece as our way of getting you our plays and DFS lineup for this week. Let’s go!

It’s already Sunday morning so there won’t be any analysis here. Just the stripped-down info that you’ll need in order to place some bets and win your DFS cash games. Let’s quickly recap week five and then move on to the good stuff.

John’s Plays (1-2): 1. SF -9 (-110) vs MIA: LOSE – MIA 43-SF 17

2. JAX +6 (-110) at HOU: LOSE – HOU 30-JAX 14

3. TWO-TEAM TEASER (+6, -120): WIN

-PIT -1 vs PHI: WIN (PIT 38-PHI 29)

-CLE +7.5 vs IND: WIN (CLE 32-IND 23)

Chandler’s Plays (1-2): 1. MIN at SEA over 55 (-110): LOSE – 53 points scored (SEA 27-MIN 26)

2. NYG at DAL over 52.5 (-110): WIN – 71 points scored (DAL 37-NYG 34)

3. TWO-TEAM TEASER (+6, -120): WIN

-LAR -1.5 at WAS: WIN (LAR 30-WAS 10)

-CLE +7.5 vs IND: WIN (CLE 32-IND 23)

I have included a teaser bet explanation at the end of this article, just in case you’re not familiar with that type of bet.

John: 8-7

Chandler: 10-5

Another lackluster 1-2 week for me. I don’t know if I’ll ever be more wrong about a pick than I was backing the Niners over Miami. I took them at -9 and they lost by 26 points. So, I was only off by five touchdowns. Good for me. Geez, that is beyond embarrassing. I guess it can’t get any worse though, right? I certainly hope so.

Jacksonville is dead to me. That’s it. That’s the analysis.

The teaser was a breeze. The Steelers cruised to a win over the Eagles, and the Browns won the game outright. Fantastic.

Chandler’s only loss this week should have been a win. Late in the 4th quarter, Minnesota had a chance to kick a FG from Seattle’s 12-yard line that would have put them up by eight points. That FG would have pushed the game over the total. (Mike Zimmer’s decision to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking that FG was the correct decision, but so many coaches would have made the minus EV play and kicked that FG. Sometimes you just can’t win for losing.)

Chandler’s two wins this week were also a walk in the park, as the DAL-NYG game flew over the total by nearly 20 points, and his teaser was also a slam dunk. Chandler’s record is an astounding 10-5 so far this year. Fade his picks at your own peril. (Yeah, just don’t do that. He’s as hot as hot can be. Tail every one of his picks and then enjoy the stupid grin that will be tattooed on your face as your wallet continues to expand.)

Last, Chandler and I put together one consensus FanDuel lineup to give you the advantage with your DFS decisions this weekend, and hopefully to help you win some cash. Our lineup is posted below, but definitely check out the video/podcast for our explanation behind each pick, as well as the other players we love but just didn’t include in the lineups below.

John’s Week 6 Plays: PIT -3.5 (-110) vs CLE

SF +3 (-105) vs LAR

DAL ML (+105) vs ARZ

Chandler’s Week 6 Plays:

GB -1 (-105) at TB

TEN -3.5 (-110) vs HOU

Two-Team Teaser (+6, -120):

1. CLE +9.5 at PIT

2. MIA -3.5 vs NYJ

Below is the FanDuel lineup that Chandler and I put together for week six. This week’s lineup would be best used in cash games or for small contests, and perhaps even some larger tournaments with 5,000+ entries. In those types of contests, typically you should be paying up at RB, stacking your lineup, and taking a shot on low-owned, very cheap WRs who, if they explode, can win you the whole tournament.

John’s & Chandler’s Consensus Week Six FanDuel Lineup:

Good luck to you all this weekend!! Here’s to cashing tickets and smashing the field in your DFS tourneys and cash games!!

(TEASER BET EXPLANATION: In case you’re not familiar with a teaser, it’s a bet in which you get six points to manipulate the point spread and/or game total in a favorable direction. For example, in John’s teaser bet above he selected the Colts and the Rams. Bet by themselves, the Colts would be -8 at Jacksonville, and the Rams would be +3 at home against the Cowboys. However, in a teaser you get to add six points to the side of each bet you selected. Therefore, John moved the Colts down from -8 to -2, and the Rams up from +3 to +9. Teasers are great ways to manipulate lines so that they’re more favorable to you. Last, just like a parlay, teasers must include two bets or more, and you must win all the legs in the teaser to win the bet. If you lose one leg of the teaser your whole bet is busted.)
